Hello, tomorrow [May. 16th, 2005|07:26 pm]
Today Max asked to ride his bike. While he was riding I noticed that his training wheels never touched the ground. I said "We can probably take those off, ya know?". He said "Can you do it now?"

I did. And he's been riding all afternoon.

Here's the shocker.

About an hour ago, my daughter asked me to take hers off, too. Morgan. My fraidy cat.

So, I did.

And she rode wonderfully, too.

I know, she's almost 10. A little late.

Whatever. My baby "got over it".

Very cool. And funny because that is EXACTLY how my daughter did it. She just got her tw's off about 2 months ago. The boy is still insisting he prefers his trike to his 2 wheeler, but he's only 5 so he has plenty of time.

I learned to ride a bike last April. As far as I'm concerned, there's no age to "get it." :)

Hey, sorry for the semi random post. On my way into work tonight, NPR had a show on that I thought may interest you.

That's one of my favorite things about NPR. Almost all of the shows I can go "Hey, I heard this and thought of you" and still let the person hear the actual show. :p

The show was very educational and raised more than a few questions for me. I think there may also be some real hope raising things there as well. I found it interesting, particularly the historian talking about figures in American history that he suspects had AS.
