Wow....Frances is still remaining a strong category 4 hurricane.

I'm short on time this morning, but wanted to send a few words out.

Nate, enjoy the waves before the weather gets bad!!! But, uhm, don't let Madison enjoy those. I'm not ready for him surfing 8 foot waves yet, okay?

Chumas, stay safe!!! Keep me updated on if you are going to end up riding it out or evac'ing.

Last night, I got an email from Mark Sudduth of HurricaneTrack.com. I can't tell you how exciting it was to have him share information with me. One day, I'm gonna ride with those boys!!!!

J and B....I know you guys aren't going to take a direct hit, but that storm is huge. Depending on where she goes, you guys could still get some awful weather. Stay safe!!!

Gee, anyone seeing a "Stay Safe" trend? Yeah. Much as I'd love to see this beauty in person, I'm gonna have to be content to live vicariously through the HIRT and various tracking sites and software. More later after I get to work.

My favorite way to see a hurricane: from 43,000 feet MSL.

Pretty dang cool when you're way the heck above it.

And that's the only way I wanna see one.

Having flown the Buenos Aires to Chicago route on several occassions, I can tell you a hurricane looks like a Pink Floyd show from up there.
