Cold beer and remote control.... [Apr. 20th, 2005|08:20 am]

Yesterday I was jamming out while cleaning. I hadn't listened to this song in quite some time, but it really made me smile yesterday.

Cold Beer and Remote Control by Indigo Girls

All of my days have been misspent
Stuffing out the sofa and the antenna's bent
Inside my heart's busting out at the seams
I work for the impossible American Dream

I got a job at the grocery store
A few bucks an hour and not much more
The world comes in just to take things away
They eat it all up and then they sleep in today

I try not to care
I would lose my mind
Worrying about the same thing
Time after time
Only two things 'bout to soothe my soul
Cold beer and remote control

Once upon a time I was nobody's fool
Two jobs and showin' up for school
I guess it comes apart so little by little
You don't know you're there till you're stuck in the middle

I try not to care
I would lose my mind
Worrying about the same thing
Time after time
Only two things 'bout to soothe my soul
Cold beer and remote control

Cause it's a long walk to the bus stop
It's a long wait for the turn of clock
It's the two tired cars sitting up on blocks
And things I put aside like that pile of rocks

I try not to care
I would lose my mind
Worrying about the same thing
Time after time
Only two things 'bout to soothe my soul
This cold beer and remote control

The morning was spent doing dishes and laying down contact paper on the shelves and putting in lightbulbs. I need to shape the spray foam I did on Monday.

That's it for this update. Busy busy. Soon, I think it might slow up a little.

Hey, I can hope, can't I?

You gotten one of them little wasp catcher thingies from Walmart yet? The kind that hooks to a 2-liter bottle. They work great. :)

Good luck, Holly.
