First Snow [Jan. 13th, 2005|01:48 am]
Sichernde_Seele
This past weekend, for the first time ever in my life, I got to see real snow. It was amazingly beautiful and quite fluffy to fall into.

I think falling was more fun than the skiing itself.

Not much else to say. It was a magical sight to behold and I had a wonderful time. So...On with the pictures.

We drove in late Friday night. This was what we found on Saturday morning. Powdery and beautiful.

View from the driveway Saturday morning

Last, but not least...me falling on my butt. I think I may very well have sat there for 10 minutes laughing. Falling was easy. Getting back up with 3 feet of powder under you is a bit tricky. *giggle*

South Lake Tahoe, California. The name of that particular ski area is called "Heavenly".

But isn't snow so beautiful?! I live in Canada and that's the kind of snow I've lived in nearly year-round way up north. I didn't realize it snowed so much in California. Great pics!
