|The weekend according to Holly

I went to Houston on Saturday morning. The kids were absolutely wonderful on the trip. As usual. It never ceases to make me proud. |
We got in around 4pm and were instantly greeted with gleeful squeals from my youngest sister, Tiffany. The exchange students (past and present) soon followed. I was surprised at how many names I remembered. Anh, Khoi, Chie, Snow, Lhing, Chuong, Hein, Tu, Mariposa, Lie, Kathy and the dog...Holly. Let me tell you. That made for some interesting moments. "Holly, get out of there!!!!!" Huh? What'd I do? I swear it wasn't *me* that ate the couch! (Holly was named before they got her...she won't answer to anything else).
Max made really fast friends with Chie (pronounced like Chia). He even managed to talk her into sleeping in his bed Saturday night. She is such a sweet girl. I exchanged addresses with her and hope to keep in touch. The kids would love to see her again after she goes off to college.
On Sunday there was a party and we all ate much food. There were so many kids. Here's where more names came in. Clara and 4 of her 5 kids. Javier, Jeremy, Briana and Sarah. Sara is 3 months old and healthy and happy as can be. This was Clara's late life "Woah!"...she's 48. Max held the baby and sang her to sleep. We got pictures. I'll post them as soon as I get them from Mom.
My other sister, Misty, arrived a little late on Sunday night. I fetched her from the airport and we went for Starbucks. There was this great juice drink that's soo tasty. 5 kinds of juice and wheatgrass and such. It looked green...but sooooo yummy.
I left Houston about midnight and got in at 4am or so.
I'm tired, but it was a very nice weekend.
I drive back Friday after work to retrieve the kiddos and come home for Christmas.
