What the hell was I thinking???

Okay. So I'm mostly packed. Everything is set to go.

But how in the HELL am I supposed to get home at 11, get some amount of sleep, get up, get showered and get to the airport and NOT show up in San Francisco looking like a soggy dishtowel???

Mental Note: Do not make early flights out unless it is possible to get some sleep the night before!!!!!

Everyone saying "oh, you can sleep on the plane"...Look, people, I have short hair. I sleep on the plane, I will look like I stuck my finger in a light socket by the time I get there!!! Not to mention, I have an hour flight to Dallas. An hour IN Dallas. Then a 3.5 hour flight into SFO. That's not sleep time. That's just enough time to get really grumpy.

Unfortunately, No-Doze and I are NOT friends. Anything like that makes me need to lay down...REALLY bad.

Not long!

Flight leaves at 7am. I am *supposed* to be there by 5am. However, these REALLY early morning flights out of New Orleans, usually getting there by 5:30 is more than enough time to "hurry up and wait".

In JFK a lady on my plane waltzed off and into the bathroom just in front of us. Once inside she soaked her head in the sink and whipped out this small hairdryer and proceeded to style her hair. I was all in awe as I looked like Mama Frump after 4 hours on the plane with a crying baby and the only recourse I had was to pretend I meant to look like that. She on the other hand walked out looking like she had just stepped out of the shower, all pretty and neat with nice makeup.

Well, not sure I know either it's been so long! I personally am wearing a heavy base of rice cereal with a smattering of applesauce and I think that might be ravioli over my eyes, but it could be spaghetti from lunch... so ummm, maybe I shouldn't be giving advice on this matter? :)

3.5 hours is good sleep time.

Heck, we've got a 5.5 hour direct to JFK from SJC in December, and that's my sleep window.

Actually, a little scarf thingy would work wonders for you. Make you look retro-sixties too. :)
