Ain't it heavy? [Sep. 8th, 2004|10:53 pm]
Sichernde_Seele
Today has been a very "heavy" day. I'm sure at some point I'll sit and write it all out, but right now I'm too drained to pull it off.

I wanted to share this picture, though..

This is the first time I have ever seen a satellite photo of a hurricane where it actually looked like the perfect little hurricane symbol.

Yes, it's got a little tail coming off of it, but the central part of the hurricane and the two points on the NE and SW of the eye are a perfect specimen.

That's it for now. I can't think anymore. I'll give the details tomorrow.

The funny thing is, he's not that big at all. Circumfrence wise.

He's compact and tightly wound, though. Pack a cat 4 or 5 wind into that and you have the makings of a small but deadly hurricane.

We just gotta keep watching to see what he's going to do. He may go off into the Atlantic after visiting Cuba. He may hit Florida, he may enter the gulf. It's just to early to know yet. 5 day tracks are sketches of possibilities that get closer and closer to the truth as time goes on.

hope it lightens up

see that ain't cute
that is just plain effin freaky
we don't have hurricanes with tacky names in the land of cheese and beer so you'll have to excuse my lack of excitement over that picture.
